The Department of Science and Humanities, C. Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology, Melvisharam, organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Opportunities for Engineering Students through Higher Education” on 6th November 2025 at 11:00 AM in the EEE Seminar Hall. The session was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries —Dr. M. Sasikumar, Principal; and Dr. Md. Muzaffar Hussain, Vice Principal. The program was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. B. V. Senthil Kumar, Head of the Department (Science & Humanities), and convened by Dr. A. Ubaithulla Baig, Assistant Professor of Physics. The resource person, Dr. P. Sundar Raj, MSW., Ph.D., Assistant Project Director, Universal Higher Education Trust (UHET), VIT Campus, Vellore, delivered an insightful lecture highlighting the various avenues available for engineering graduates to pursue higher studies. He emphasized the importance of developing academic and research skills, exploring global opportunities, and the role of higher education in enhancing employability and innovation. Dr. Sundar Raj also discussed scholarship opportunities, interdisciplinary programs, and the significance of institutions like UHET in guiding students toward advanced education and career growth. His talk motivated the students to plan their academic journey with clear goals and determination. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students enthusiastically participated and clarified their doubts regarding higher education paths in India and abroad. The event ended with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the management, the resource person, and all participants for making the lecture a successful and enriching experience.
