16th Graduation Day

The 16th Graduation Day was organized at C.Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering & Technology, Melvisharam on 29th September 2018 at 10:00 am in the auditorium.  The Chairman Mr. S. Ziauddeen Ahmed presided over the function in the presence of Mr. Sowcar Nisar Ahmed, President of M.M.E.S. (Melvisharam Muslim Educational Society) and Mr. V.M. Abdul Latheef, the Correspondent of the college.

TAN SRI DATO’ SRI PROF. IR. DR. SAHOL HAMID BIN ABU BAKAR, Vice-chancellor, B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, was the Chief Guest and he delivered the Graduation Day Address.  During his speech, he appreciated the vision, excellent infrastructure, accreditation by various bodies to become a centre of academic excellence. He advised the graduates to utilize the skills acquired during their studies to make their endeavors successful.  The present industrial scenario demands a constant watch to renew our ideas and improve our expertise.  The necessity for lifelong learning has become unavoidable to sustain in the chosen field or we stay backward.   Graduates should be able to face the challenges of the multinational corporate sector and emphasized that the safety security and well being of the society is important responsibility of the graduates.  He appreciated the commitment of the parents, to see their wards as aspiring professionals today, is something extra ordinary and advised the graduates to take care of them all through their life. He wished them all the best and a grand success in their career with their knowledge, courage and enterprise. He quoted Albert Einstein’s saying that to keep the balance we must keep on moving inorder to be successful in life. Thereafter, he distributed the Degree Certificates and medals to the successful graduates and meritorious students. 

RAJENDRAN DANDAPANI, Director of Engineering, M/s Zoho Corporation, Chennai, was the Guest of Honour. During his speech, he emphasized to have a break after college education before taking up the jobs. They have to think in choosing a job not only in terms of salary package, but also to ensure that there are demanding responsibilities and there is an opportunity to learn many things day by day. He insisted the graduates to be happy, well prepared and self satisfied to make their lives successful.  The concept of learning for sometime, doing the job and retiring to pass the rest of the life, is gone now. The new generation must adopt the concept of life-long learning.  This learning can be divided into four parts. One is learning from the teacher, secondly by self motivation and self intelligence, thirdly from friends, relatives, team mates etc.,  and finally from the experience throughout the lifetime. He appreciated the institution for its slogan ‘enter to learn and leave to serve’ and he wished all the best to the graduates. He distributed Medals and Degree Certificates to Class Toppers and successful graduates.

The members of the College Committee Mr. S.Z. Ifthikhar Ahmed, Mr. M. Mohamed Sherfuddin, Mr. K. Anees Ahmed, Mr. M.R. Shabeer Ahmed, Mr. S.Z. Abrar Ahmed, Mr. V. Mohamed Rizwanullah, Mr. A. Iqbal Ahmed, Mr. V. Mohamed Zafrullah and Mr. S. Zahid Hussain graced this occasion.

The following 15 (Fifteen) students of 2017 Batch have secured Anna University Ranks. UG students Indhumathi S of Aeronautical Engineering secured 19th Rank, Mohammed Rizwan K and Jonathan E Daniel of Mechanical Engineering secured 40th & 50th Ranks respectively.   PG students  Menaga D, M.E-Computer Science and Engineering secured  45th Rank, Hemalatha A and Lavanya G of MBA department secured 17th & 34th Ranks respectively, Manjula S, Swetha T G, Kirthana S, Yogalakshmi E, Tamilselvi S, Velvizhi K, Rohini V, Manjula V and Nathiya V of MCA department secured 9th, 23rd, 24th, 36th, 38th, 39th, 42nd, 47th and 50th Ranks respectively. These students were awarded with Medals and Mementos.

 Totally 653 students received the degree certificates during this occasion. All the arrangements for this event were made by Dr. A. Rajesh, Principal and the Heads of the departments of the college.
