A Guest Lecture on the topic “Recent Trends in Welding Technologies” was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering on 21.07.2018. It was well attended by Second Year students along with interested students from 3rd year Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering Departments.
The Principal, Dr. A. Rajesh, and Mr. T. Sankar, HOD / Mech chaired the program. Mr. M. Valavan, Dy General Manager – Production, BAP-BHEL, Ranipet was the chief guest. Mr. N. Balamurugan, Sr. Engineer – Production, BAP-BHEL, Ranipet and Mr. D. Parameshwaran, IWS, Honorary Secretary, BAP-BHEL, Ranipet graced the program.
Mr. I. Rajkumar, Associate Professor, welcomed the gathering. Dr. A. Rajesh and Mr. T. Sankar honored the chief guest with a shawl and memento.
Mr. M. Valavan, delivered a lecture on “Recent trends in Welding technologies” and shared his deep knowledge about welding.
Mr. N. Balamurugan, highlighted the welding basics and applications to the students. Students interacted with the experts and the resource personnel were very kind enough to clarify the student queries.
Mr. R. Umamageshwaran, Assistant Professor delivered the vote of thanks.
