Winner of Smart India Hackathon\’19 (Hardware Edition)

[vc_row][vc_column width=\”1/2\”][vc_column_text]Our hearty congratulations from the Management, Principal, Faculties and Students to the \”Team wizards\” of the EEE Department and their Mentors for winning First Prize of Rs.1,00,000/- in the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 Hardware Edition.

The Grand Finale SIH-2019 Hardware Edition was held from July 8th to July 12th 2019. The team from CAHCET was awarded with cash prize from Ministry of Power. Also, the team has the internship offer from Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.

The grand finale of Smart India Hackathon-2019, an event that will provide young technical minds with an opportunity to showcase their creativity in hardware products that can solve problems such as the need for clean water, waste management and creation of smart vehicles, was inaugurated at the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) on July 8th 2019. The Hackathon runs for five days and the winners are awarded after final evaluation on July 12th 2019. Anil Sahasrabudhe,Chairman of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), said this is the third consecutive year of Smart India Hackathon , and around 2 lakh students are participating.

TEAM WIZARDS from C.ABDUL HAKEEM COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY worked on the problem statement from the Ministry of Power in the Grand finale at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. The winning team constitutes five students from Final year EEE, namely, M.Pavithra (Team Leader), Abdul Malick Talha, Abdul Subhan, Charumathi and FaheemulAnsari. The team was mentored by Prof.Mohanavel and Prof.Mohamed Hashim from Department of EEE. The team developed a prototype for “Smart Monitoring & Operation of Power Systems”.
