A one-day workshop on “BIM Modelling” was successfully conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering on 23rd January 2026. The objective of the workshop was to provide practical knowledge and awareness about Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its applications in modern construction projects.
The program focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of BIM, its importance in planning, design, and project management, and hands-on exposure to BIM tools used in the industry. The resource person explained various concepts such as 3D modelling, visualization, quantity estimation, and coordination using BIM software.Students actively participated in the sessions and gained valuable insights into the latest trends in civil engineering technology. The workshop helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of construction and infrastructure development.
