
The Department of Information Technology organized a Personality Development Programme on “Career & Employability Skills” on 19th February 2026 at the Tower Seminar Hall, primarily focusing on Final Year students to enhance their readiness for campus placements and career opportunities.
A total of 60 final year students actively participated in the programme.
The programme was graced by the esteemed chief guest, Mr. AsvinRamanathan, Founder of Adz4needz and Co-Founder of Assistlana. His industry expertise and entrepreneurial journey provided valuable insights to the students.
The event was presided over by our respected Principal, Dr. M. Sasi Kumar, and the Vice Principal, Dr. MdMuzafferHussian. The programme was organized under the guidance of the Head of the Department of Information Technology, Dr. S. Umamaheswari, and coordinated by Dr. N. Gayathri Devi.
During the session, Mr. AsvinRamanathan emphasized the importance of communication skills, resume building, interview preparation, confidence building, and understanding industry expectations. He shared practical strategies to improve employability skills, develop a professional mindset, and adapt to corporate culture. He also motivated students to focus on continuous learning, networking, and skill enhancement beyond academics.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and clarifying their career-related queries. The programme helped the final year students understand current industry trends and the essential competencies required to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Overall, the Personality Development Programme was informative, inspiring, and highly beneficial for the 87 final year students. It successfully achieved its objective of preparing students for their professional careers and enhancing their employability skills.
