Guest Lecture (Generative AI for Creative Intelligence)

An expert talk titled “Generative AI for Creative Intelligence: Generative AI Models, Methods, and Applications” was successfully conducted on 29 January 2026 at the Tower Seminar Hall for II Year – Section A students. The session aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of Generative Artificial Intelligence, its foundational models, methodologies, and real-world applications.

The talk was delivered by Dr. K. S. Sendhil Kumar, Professor Grade 1, and Department of Internet of Things, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore. He provided insightful explanations of key Generative AI models such as GANs, VAEs, Transformer-based models, and Diffusion models, along with methods including deep learning architectures, transfer learning, prompt engineering, and reinforcement learning with human feedback.

The expert highlighted diverse applications of Generative AI across content creation, healthcare, education, software development, and business analytics, while also emphasizing ethical challenges such as data privacy, bias, misuse of AI-generated content, and responsible AI practices. An interactive Q&A session encouraged active student participation, addressing career opportunities and future trends in AI. Overall, the session significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of Generative AI, inspired interest in AI-driven research and projects, and promoted awareness of ethical AI usage. The expert talk was highly informative and beneficial to all 43 participating students, contributing positively to their academic and professional development.
