Introduction
The II MBA students of C.Abdul Hakeem college of Engineering & technology undertook a three-day industrial visit to a renowned chocolate factory in Kerala. The visit aimed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of chocolate manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and practical insights into factory management. The experience also aimed to enhance managerial and technical knowledge related to the food processing industry.
Visit Details
The visit was conducted from 03.09.25 to 06.09.25 involving 37 students of the II MBA batch and accompanying faculty 3 members . The group traveled to the chocolate factory located in Marayoor, Kerala. The itinerary included factory plant tours, interactive sessions with the production and management teams, and observation of the entire chocolate manufacturing cycle.
Objectives
The key objectives of the industrial visit were:
- To understand the end-to-end chocolate manufacturing process, from raw materials to packaging.
- To observe practical applications of supply chain management in a food processing unit.
- To gain insights into quality control and automation in the chocolate production line.
