Introduction

The MBA I Year students undertook a two-day study tout  to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore on 21st & 22nd August 2025. The objective of this visit was to provide students with practical exposure to management practices, enhance their learning beyond the classroom, and bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications.Industrial visits play a vital role in management education by allowing students to gain insights into industry expectations, current trends, and corporate culture. This visit was organized under the guidance of our faculty in-charge, Mr. Y. Irshad Ahmed HOD/MBA., and Mrs. C. Suganya.Assistant Professor of MBA

Day-Wise Schedule

  • Arrival at Indian Institute of Bangalore and registration formalities.
  • Orientation session by institute representatives on organizational structure, research initiatives, and management practices.
  • Lecture on “Emerging Trends in Business & Management Education”.
  • Campus visit including research labs, incubation centre, and library facilities.

Objectives of the Visit

  1. To provide students with exposure to the academic and research environment at a premier institute like IIM Bangalore.
  2. To develop industry-oriented insights, managerial perspectives, and leadership qualities.
  3. To encourage team building, problem-solving, and decision-making through experiential learning.
  4. To foster holistic development through cultural, social, and environmental exposure.

Introduction to IIM Bangalore

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is recognized globally as one of the finest business schools. Established in 1973, it is known for its rigorous academic programs, innovative teaching methods, and contribution to management research. The visit was designed to give us an insider’s view of a world-class learning environment.

Learning Outcomes (From the visit to IIM Bangalore) we gained valuable insights:

1. Academic Exposure: Understood how case-based and interactive learning builds analytical thinking.

2. Innovation: Observed how start-ups are supported and nurtured through incubation centers.

3. Leadership Skills: Learned that teamwork, decision-making, and communication are essential for success.Course Outcomes (COs)

Outcomes Achieved

The visit successfully blended academic exposure (IIM Bangalore), personal development (trekking, cultural visits), and experiential learning (campfire, dormitory stay, swimming pool). Students strengthened leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while gaining cultural and environmental awareness
