It is high time that we pay gratitude and thus adopt Gandhian ideologies while celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Gandhi Global Solar Yatra (GGSY) is planned to promote self-su\ufb03ciency in energy for sustainability by providing complete, cost-e\ufb00ective, reliable, and sustainable solar energy access while protecting the environment, creating livelihoods, and empowering locals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\\&#8221;1\/2\\&#8221;][vc_single_image image=\\&#8221;6221\\&#8221; img_size=\\&#8221;full\\&#8221; alignment=\\&#8221;center\\&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\\&#8221;1\/2\\&#8221;][vc_images_carousel images=\\&#8221;6222,6223,6224\\&#8221; img_size=\\&#8221;full\\&#8221; speed=\\&#8221;3000\\&#8221; autoplay=\\&#8221;yes\\&#8221; wrap=\\&#8221;yes\\&#8221; title=\\&#8221;Image Gallery\\&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\\&#8221;1\/2\\&#8221;][vc_column_text css=\\&#8221;.vc_custom_1570106159327{padding-top: 25px !important;}\\&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\\\"text-align: justify;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">A culmination event of GANDHI GLOBAL SOLAR YATRA (GGSY), the <\/span><b>Student Solar Ambassador Workshop<\/b><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"> was organized by Department of EEE in association with IIT Bombay to various school and engineering students. This workshop aimed to train students and sensitize them towards solar energy was organized on 2nd October 2019, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who epitomized the cause of non-violence (principles). This was a mega-global event, wherein more than 1 million students from over 100 countries participated in hands-on training to assemble their own solar study lamp. All the Students Solar Ambassador on 2nd Oct. also took a pledge of Non-Violence towards Environment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\\&#8221;1\/2\\&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\\\"text-align: justify;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">The event conducted in C.Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering &amp; Technology was participated by students from\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\\\"text-align: justify;\\\">\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">Islamiah Boys Higher Secondary School, Melvisharam,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">K.H.Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Boys), Melvisharam,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">K.H.Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Girls), Melvisharam,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">Crescent Nursery &amp; Primary School, Melvisharam,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">Govt Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School, Vellore,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Walajah,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">Sri Venkateshwara Higher Secondary School, Vellore<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">Sunbeam Matric. &amp; CBSE School, Vellore<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\\\"text-align: justify;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-weight: 400;\\\">The students learnt about different components needed to build a solar lamp. Students were also taught to test the technical components and repair by themselves in the event of any malfunctioning.
