Information Technology students on <strong>28th and 29th June 2026<\/strong>. The programme aimed to familiarize students with the department&#8217;s vision, academic regulations, industry expectations, mentoring system, and various co-curricular opportunities. The sessions also motivated students to develop technical, professional, and interpersonal skills required for their future careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Day 1 Report (28.06.2026)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme commenced at <strong>10:00 a.m.<\/strong> with the recitation of the <strong>Qirath<\/strong>, followed by the <strong>Tamil Thai Vazhthu<\/strong>, invoking blessings for the successful conduct of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gathering was warmly welcomed by <strong>Ms.Banu R., Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology and Programme Coordinator<\/strong>, who welcomed the dignitaries, chief guest, faculty members, and students. She highlighted the objectives of the orientation programme and encouraged students to make the best use of the two-day event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Inaugural Address<\/strong> was delivered by <strong>Dr. M. Sasikumar, Principal<\/strong>, who emphasized the importance of discipline, continuous learning, professional ethics, and active participation in academic and extracurricular activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was followed by the <strong>Address by Dr. Md. Muzaffer Hussain, Vice Principal<\/strong>, who motivated students to develop technical competencies, communication skills, and leadership qualities to meet industry expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Department Vision and Mission<\/strong> were presented by <strong>Dr. S. Gokulan, MBBS., MD (Psychiatry), Assistant Surgeon, Government District Headquarters Hospital, Walajapet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr.Gokulan conducted an engaging and insightful session on <strong>mental health awareness, stress management, emotional well-being, time management, healthy lifestyle practices, and maintaining a positive mindset during academic life<\/strong>. He emphasized the importance of balancing academic responsibilities with personal well-being and encouraged students to seek guidance whenever required.
