The session aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of <strong>Generative Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>, its foundational models, methodologies, and real-world applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The talk was delivered by <strong>Dr. K. S. Sendhil Kumar<\/strong>, Professor Grade 1, and Department of Internet of Things, School of Computer Science and Engineering, <strong>Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore<\/strong>. He provided insightful explanations of key Generative AI models such as <strong>GANs, VAEs, Transformer-based models, and Diffusion models<\/strong>, along with methods including <strong>deep learning architectures, transfer learning, prompt engineering, and reinforcement learning with human feedback<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expert highlighted diverse applications of Generative AI across <strong>content creation, healthcare, education, software development, and business analytics<\/strong>, while also emphasizing <strong>ethical challenges<\/strong> such as data privacy, bias, misuse of AI-generated content, and responsible AI practices. An interactive Q&amp;A session encouraged active student participation, addressing career opportunities and future trends in AI. Overall, the session significantly enhanced participants\u2019 understanding of Generative AI, inspired interest in AI-driven research and projects, and promoted awareness of ethical AI usage.
